Questions-Answers

How can we identify our inner enemies when they manifest in us? How do we escape from their clutches?

The temptation to ignore Dharma grows from egoism and the acceptance of false values. The wish to satisfy the lower desire is the root of unrighteousness. That wish takes hold of you slyly, silently, like a thief in the night; or like a comrade to come and save you, or like a servant to come to attend on you, or like a counselor to come and warn you. Oh, wickedness has a thousand tricks to capture your heart. You must be ever alert against this temptation. To escape from this, you must examine every moment of your waking time whether you are observing the precepts of Dharma (Righteousness).

What is the code of conduct applicable to all creations in the universe? What should we treasure?

Every single thing in nature has its code of conduct (Dharma). Water has its nature and obligation to move; fire the Dharma to burn and consume; the magnet to attract and draw unto itself. And every one of these, is keeping their code of conduct unchanged, including the stars of the firmament. The proper code of conduct is "Sathyam Vadha; Dharmam Chara" (Speak the truth and practice righteousness)। You must fill every moment of your life, all of your thoughts, words and deeds, reflecting your awareness of Dharma. That type of living is the hallmark of good character.
